Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford continues to run a lot of ink and not to move during the transfer window.
It is well known that Rashford's priority is to join Barcelona, but it is still unknown how long it will wait.
Aston Villa announced this week that they would not raise their purchase option on Rashford, who decided not to return to Villa Park next season. United is considering a sale for Rashford, while Barcelona is interested in his arrival, but he does not appear at the top of their priorities. If Rashford was to be transferred, it seems almost certain that it would be a loan with purchase option rather than the sale of 40 to 50 million euros desired by United.
Bayern Munich has also Rashford as an option
According to Bayern Insider, Rashford is also in the crosshairs of Bayern Munich to strengthen his left wing. Bradley Barcola, Rafael Leao, Nico Williams and Luis Diaz, the latter two also targeted by Barcelona, the predecessor nevertheless in the hierarchy, but their price should be around 100 million euros. If Bayern fails to recruit them, it could turn to Rashford.
Problems on the horizon for Barcelona?
Rashford is currently expected as a new alternative number for Barcelona, Nico Williams being his number one choice for the left winger post. But if Williams did not arise, Liverpool would already be reluctant to negotiate with Barcelona for Diaz. If neither was possible for the Blaugrana, the sports director Deco could turn to Rashford.
However, if Bayern is very determined to recruit Rashford and guarantees him a more important role, the English international could be a source of reflection. If the German giants succeeded, Barcelona would find themselves without plan B.
