The Professional Football League (LFP) has today announced the official launch of its brand new platform dedicated to Ligue 1 McDonald's. This initiative marks a major turning point in the broadcast of the French championship.

According to the LFP press release, this platform, carried out by all the clubs of Ligue 1 McDonald's, will broadcast the ten most beautiful posters of the season as soon as August 15. In addition, it will offer eight live and exclusive games each day with an offer at € 14.99 per month with engagement., From Friday to Sunday, accompanied by a large magazine available.

This announcement comes in a context of strong expectations concerning the diffusion rights of French football. The LFP has recently been at the heart of intense discussions, especially after the failure of mediation with certain broadcasting partners. The launch of this “direct-to-consumer” platform (DTC) seems to be a strategic response to regain control of its distribution and maximize its income.

A launch press conference is scheduled for July 10, where more details on this new platform and its features should be unveiled.

It remains to be seen whether this new platform will be able to capture the audience and meet the expectations of supporters, accustomed to a broadcast offer that continues to change from season to season.
