A Footmercato article evokes a sensational transfer of the Red Devils for the Nigerian striker. United began discussions with Osimhen, but should still target the signature of the Sporting Lisbon star, Viktor Gyokeres, as a holder.
Osimhen's price scares big clubs
Osimhen returns to his original club after a season on loan to Galatasaray. Turkish giants are looking for a final transfer, while Osimhen would have refused a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal, despite indications that he would have accepted the conditions with the Saudi club. Naples would expect an amount greater than 75 million euros, while the player would demand a contract of 12 million euros per year, which could put the Red Devils out of reach.
Osimhen too expensive?
Osimhen proved that he was still a first -rate scorer with a prolific season in Türkiye. The 26-year-old played 37 games in 45 appearances in the 2024-25 season, winning the Super League title.
Osimhen's current contract with Naples expires in 2026. The relationship of the Nigerian striker with the club seems to have deteriorated completely, making a final departure from the scudetto holder a priority for both parties.
