Bruno Armirail remains the boss of the tricolor time trial. On the Vendée roads, the runner Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale has retained its title of champion of France of the time trial on Thursday, June 26. At 31, the native of Bagnères-de-Bigorre traveled the 26.5 km on the program in 32'16 '' and ahead of Kévin Vauquelin (Arkéa B & B Hotels, +21 '') and the young Paul Seixas (Decathlon Ag2r La Mondiale, +43 ''), only 18 years old and professional for a few months.

At the top of all the intermediaries, Bruno Armirail mastered his time from start to finish and offered his third coronation on the test after 2022 and 2024. “It was one of the objectives of my season with the Tour de France. I had prepared the tour more than the French championship but ultimately, I did not get too bad even if I would have liked a slightly longer course”said the Pyrenean Eurosport microphone.

While Rémi Cavagna and Paul Seixas played third place, Kévin Vauquelin failed in second place like last year. Author of an excellent end of race, the Norman has lost time on the start of the course because of a fall. “I could not say where it was exactly, my wheel slipped, I found myself on the ground, and I got up as quickly as possible”, he confessed after the race.
