Atlético de Madrid will quickly forget this club World Cup. After conceding a defeat against PSG and a victory against Seattle Sounders, the Colchoneros had absolutely to win against Botafogo, the group's leader. The men of Diego Simeone, however, dominated the first act, but were the victim of several arbitral decisions against them. Two penalties were reviewed by the Var, but the referee did not flinch (25th and 45th).
