As reported by DZ Footseveral supporters fell from the top of the stands (second floor) of the southern turn. A security barrier would have given way, causing the collapse of part of the structure. The trophy ceremony was immediately canceled, leaving the players in shock.
The first assessment is already heavy, with a dead and several injured according to Algerian civil protection. An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of the drama. The emergency services quickly intervened to evacuate the injured.
Champion with two points ahead of JS Kabylie, the MC Algiers finished the season with 58 points in 30 days (15 wins, 13 draws and two defeats). The first two will compete in the next CAF Champions League. For its part, the NC Magra is relegated to the US Biskra.
