Adrien Rabiot sent a long farewell message to Marseille supporters after his controversial departure this summer, following an altercation in the locker room.

The French international sent a long message to OM supporters, thanking them for their warm welcome and evoking the passion and affection he felt for the club. Since then, Rabiot has left France to join AC Milan in controversial circumstances.

Rabiot published a statement to Marseille supporters

He talks about his love for the club

This transfer follows a hectic period in Marseille, when he returned to France after five seasons at Juventus. Rabiot's passage to Orange Vélodrome ended after registering on the transfers list with his teammate Jonathan Rowe following an altercation after a match against Rennes in August.

Rabiot said on Instagram: “Dear Marseille supporters, before I start my new adventure in Milan, I wanted to send you a message. As soon as I arrived in Marignane, you did not give importance to my Parisian past and immediately adopted me as Marseille, until my departure. Throughout the season, you encouraged me, accompanied, worn, applauded. You supported me flawlessly. I felt this fervor, this passion, this love of football that drives you and made Marseille a city and a club unique in France. I will never forget the atmosphere of the velodrome. Songs, cheers and coat of arms. The joy of celebrations and especially the indescribable feeling of scoring in this stage. It was an immense pleasure to defend your colors, those of Olympique de Marseille. »»

We could forgive Rabiot to wish a quieter life after the Marseille drama. He has just signed a three -year contract at AC Milan and will fight for a place in the French team of Didier Deschamps for the World Cup.
