As the season begins, the Liverpool FC sees one of its new summer recruits reach the infirmary.

Barely the Premier League championship started that Liverpool is already faced with a new blow. This Thursday, the Champion of England club announced that the right side Jeremie Frimpong will be unavailable until the international break in early September.

The Dutchman who was injured in the hamstrings during the success of the Reds against Bournemouth (4-2) last Friday for the opening of the season. It will therefore miss the next meetings against Newcastle this Monday and Arsenal next Sunday.

Bradley at the rescue?

To compensate for this absence, coach Arne Slot should turn to Conor Bradley. The North Irish right side, also recently affected by the hamstrings, resumed training this Thursday. The number 12 had already missed the Community Shield against Crystal Palace (2-2, Tab 2-3) as well as the first day against the Cherries.

“Conor trained for a few minutes with us today for the first time”said the Dutch technician at a press conference. Despite the unavailability of Frimpong, the Liverpool coach remains confident about the management of the right of defense: “(…) No, Jeremiah has a very positive assessment in injury. Conor was absent once or twice last season. These are things that happen in a season ”added Slot.
