Swedish police suspect that the transfer of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP to Arsenal was the source of a shooting attempt in Stockholm.

Gyokeres left Sporting for Arsenal this summer after a long and painful transfer case. The striker joined the Gunners for a transfer worth 64 million pounds Sterling (74 million euros/86 million dollars), signing a long -term contract with the club. This transfer is now linked to an attempted shooting and blackmail in the Swedish capital, which is the subject of a police investigation, according to the Swedish newspaper etc.

Police are currently investigating.

The shooting would have taken place in a house in Hudbenge, in Stockholm, and the target was a close to a football agent. Two shots were fired, but no one was touched. Police now suspect that the shooting is linked to an extortion attempt related to the transfer of gyokeres. The attacker is represented by the agency Hasan Cetinkaya Management, which would have received part of the important transfer compensation. The agent involved in the transaction would have published an update on social networks confirming his involvement in the transfer of gyokers, which then gave rise to blackmail attempts.

Gyokeres joined Arsenal from Sporting.

The transfer of gyookeres to Arsenal took place without incident and gave rise to a war of words between the attacker's team and Sporting. The striker missed the start of the pre-season with the Portuguese club and was then sanctioned by the club. Allegations of blackmail and unwarmed promises were also mentioned before the Swedish international finally received the green light to join the Mikel Arteta team at the Emirates Stadium.
