The Argentinian international Leonardo Balerdi reaffirmed his commitment to the Marseille club, and his desire to shine in his colors.
After several weeks of uncertainty around his future at Olympique de Marseille, Leonardo Balerdi saw the Marseille direction clarifying his situation. The Argentinian central defender was deemed intransferable by the vice-champion of France during this transfer window.
Insists insistently by Juventus Turin, the Marseille captain spoke this Thursday at a press conference on Thursday, on the eve of the start of the Ligue 1 season against Rennes, at Roazhon Park. He took the opportunity to return to rumors announcing him on the departure.
“When the season ended, I did not know (for his future, editor's note). I like to live the present moment. When I started to think, I told myself that there were a lot of things that I liked, I like the club and I want to go through the big door ”said the former member of Borussia Dortmund.
Carried by the momentum of the OM transfer window and by the prospect of a campaign in the Champions League, Balerdi did not hide his enthusiasm at the idea of continuing the Olympian adventure.
“When I saw that the coach continued and the club took the right way, I said to myself: 'I like, I want to stay'. This year, we have great ambitions ”he concluded.
