After missing the opportunity to recruit the Spanish coach, the Spurs finally appointed Ange Postcoglou to definitively replace Antonio Conte. The Australian coach led the team to the victory in the Europa League, but lost his post shortly after this victory.

Luis Enrique had been unemployed since December 2022, after the elimination of the Spanish national team from the World Cup against Morocco in the round of 16. Six months later, he accepted the position of PSG principal coach, where he finally had success in his second season, making the hat -trick for the second time in his career as a coach, including the first title of the club champions.
