Al Hilal would have concluded a verbal agreement with Liverpool for the transfer of Darwin Nunez, the former trainer of Inter Milan, Simone Inzaghi, approaching one of her main summer targets.

The negotiations between the two clubs have concluded positively, the two parties agreeing on the financial assembly necessary to facilitate the transfer of the attacker.

Al Hilal signs an agreement for Darwin Nunez

The agreement is now conditioned on the conclusion of personal conditions between Al Hilal and Nunez, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Discussions with the player are underway, and all the parties concerned are optimistic about an upcoming finalization of the transfer.

The amount proposed for the transfer would be around 70 million euros (61 million pounds sterling), an amount in accordance with that which Al Nassr would have offered to Liverpool for Nunez in January. On this occasion, the Reds had rejected the offer, preferring not to lose the attacker during the season. With the arrival of Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt and the strong interest for Alexander Isak from Newcastle, the Merseyside club seems to reconfigure its attack.

The Liverpool striker open to a transfer this summer

If Nunez agrees to join Al Hilal, this transfer could have immediate consequences for Aleksandar Mitrovic, the Serbian striker being able to be transferred, as Talksport revealed. Al Hilal would be open to permanent contracts and loans for Mitrovic, whose future has been uncertain since January, and it has already been informed that the club is actively looking for a new striker.

Since his arrival from Benfica in 2022, Darwin Nunez has scored 40 goals in 143 appearances for Liverpool, all competitions. Last season, Nunez found the net only five times in the Premier League, during the title of Liverpool champion. If its overall effectiveness was greeted by Arne Slot, her regularity in front of the goal disappointed him.
