A last stage of the plain before the roads rise until the end of this edition. For the 4th day of racing on Tuesday, July 29, the peloton will travel 130.7 km of a relatively flat route between Saumur and Poitiers. Only one difficulty will be recorded – the Marigny coast (900 m at 5.4%) – located in the last third of the race. Everything then leads to a massive sprint unless a backpacker is a lot.

Thus, as during her success on the 3rd stage on Monday, the European road champion Lorena Wiebes (SB -World – Protime) will pretend to raise her arms on the line. But she will have to be wary of the other sprinters of the peloton, such as Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek) and Ally Wollaston (FDJ-Suez), 3rd on Monday, and at the Garoudeuse Marianne Vos (Visma Lease a Bike), back in yellow. For its part, the Frenchwoman Pauline Ferrand-Prévot will try to keep her 3rd place in the general classification.
