
Barcelona is about to conclude an extension of contract with the star defender Jules Koundé after weeks of negotiations.
A new contract for the French defender was prioritized by the Catalans for 2025, following new interests of the Premier League. However, Barcelona remains confident about the possibility of keeping the 26 -year -old.
The starting rumors were initially concentrated on Chelsea, who had scrutinized Koundé during his visit to Seville. Arsenal was also interested in the tricolor international. More recently, it was Manchester City who inquired to bring him to England.
Negotiations have intensified in recent weeks, club leaders wishing to conclude an agreement before the start of the 2025/26 season.

Barcelona has deployed all its resources to keep Koundé, considering it as the best right back in the world.
In a previous report put forward by Sempre Barca, the expert in transfers Fabrizio Romano gave his verdict on the situation, confirming that all the parties agreed on an extension.
The current Koundé contract runs until 2027, but Barcelona seeks to link it until 2030. A new Romano update indicates that they have now found a solution.
He should officially sign the documents next week, on the return from the South Korea team, with a salary increase included.
