After a scarcity of 27 stages for France, the runner of Sudal Quick-Step won his first victory over the Grande Boucle, Tuesday, at the top of the legendary Mont Chauve on the 16th stage.
A masterpiece! Valentin Paret-Peintre brought his first victory to the tricolor clan on the roads of the Tour de France 2025, Tuesday July 22, and not just any. The runner of the Sudal Quick-Step team won the 16th stage at the top of the legendary Mont Ventoux, ending a series of 27 stages of French row. He also succeeded Richard Virenque, the last tricolor winner at the top of the Provence giant on the Grande Boucle, in 2002.
Author of a phenomenal rise after having returned from a group of counter on the front of the race, the 24-year-old climber dominated the Irishman Ben Healy (EF Education-Easypost, MT) and Colombien Santiago Buitrago (Bahrain Victorious, 4 “). Vingegaard delivered an impressive pass of weapons, without succeeding in letting go or taking over the leading men.
